A quick question to anyone who has seen a review and/or used the Formac Studio product. I am interested in it to capture analog video onto my G4.

My first option would have been to go for the Sony DV capture box, but after recently speaking with a rep from Sony Australia, I found they were not importing or there was not a PAL version of this device available.

The formac site says they have a PAL version of their Formac Studio product and I was interested to hear about an experience anyone has had with it.

Thanks in Advance,
KB

I have been using a Formac studio for capturing video. It works, but not entirely satisfactory. I was using a capture size of 640x480 in 15 frames/s.

My main problem is that I can't get the sound to sync. I have tried different sound-compressing-choises and no sound compressing at all. But the sound gets "streched" compared to the video... really annoying. If I sync the sound in the start of the clip, it is totally out of sync in the end...

Anyone have e sollution? and I really hope Formac will deliver a os X driver soon... Have converted to 10.1 and not having my video-card capabilities in X is irritating.
Formac have been releasing OS 9 drivers frequently, but they haven't gotten around as to releasing a single beta for X.
