I've got my G4 tower, and more recently, a little PC. The PC was free, but only has an analog video out. I would hate to have to switch my G4 to Analog just to use a KVM switch. The other option is a DVI switch, but those tend to range in the $150+ range (as I've seen) But can I do an adapter that goes analog to DVI? (I've got a DVI to Analog...but I don't know if the reverse works.)

Suggestions?

If there is an analog (VGA) connection at any point in the chain, the whole thing is reduced to analog quality.

The adapter you have is probably just a pin converter that signals the graphics card to produce a different signal; it won't help you.

I'd buy a DVI KVM and a video card with DVI for the PC (<$30).

Another option is VNC, if you don't mind the lag.

If only I could. The PC is a little HP e-vectra. It is non-upgradable. It came at a price of $20. Drat...
