First off, let me say that I don't own one yet, but I'm looking into a new Mac for my graphics and Web editing and I want to get a BIG monitor. all that seems to be going around is how expensive 24 inch monitors are. There is an article I saw on Samsungs 24' flat panel and that costs $6,500 Apple just dropped it's price on its 22 cinema display from $3,999 to $2,999. But SONY has had this big boy out for quite a while and I found it for $1,800 at buy.com. Supports resolutions up to 2304 x 1440 @ 80Hz and has a 16:10 aspect ratio like any other of it's class. I havn't seen anyone say or talked about using one. Is it my imagination or does this really exist, and is it worth looking into. And if anyone has seen one, please let me know.

I've never seen one, but my company is looking into purchasing a few of them for some of the designers. It's a tossup between these and the SGI 1600 flat panels. I'd go with the Trinitron, though.

Thanks for your response I just need to wait a while anyway before I can upgrade to a new sistem. But I'm glad I could get some advice as readily as I did.
