I've just lost 2 external USB drives after installing 10.4.5 (it may be co-incidence though). The drives were not recognized as proper volumes at all and needed to be re-formated to be used again. Luckily I use the drives as backup, so I could recreate the data. Anyone else has a similar experience.? I've also got a new problem with my FireWire drives. I have 2 drives that I can use individually but I can't use together. If I turn on the 2nd drive the 1st always immediately unmounts itself. I'm sure this used to be OK, and has started happening at some time since I moved from my old B&W G3 to an iMac, and from 10.3.x to 10.4.5. Again, anone have any idea what could be going on here, and how I might solve the problem.

Regards, Derek
