Does the Apple USB modem work with any machine?

	A relative has an ibook and the modem has become unreliable - I was going to suggest he buys the new Apple external modem (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL....8.25.7.11.0.3) Does anyone know if it works with any machine with USB (I assume so) - or whether it will only work with the new Macs for some reason? Thanks.
