can a vst slim zip work without a power adapter on a powerbook? the vst website had a link to a review that said it needed a powersource for the powerbooks....BUT they may have been referring to the vst harddrives which were also being reviewed in that article. also can a vst zip 250 take 100mb cartridges? i know iomega can but that's their company

I know that you asked specifically about the VST Zip Drive and that is a question that I had, as well. BUT, I read the VST page and then ended up getting the iomega USB Powered Zip 250... which is actually lighter than the VST Slim (only 9 ounces). I really like it. I have the TiBook and it is a nice complement and fits in the front pocket of my bag (in the same pocket with a VST Floppy drive) The Iomege drive is actually smaller than they make it appear...
I hope this helps,
dave
