Hi All,

I'm very unhappy with my present provider of DVD-R discs (I'm working my through 3 cakeboxes of 50, and I'm getting coasters 3 out of 4 burns). fyi: it's not my hardware.

So, I'm looking for a place to order new DVD-Rs that actually work (I'm burning at 16x with Toast 7) that aren't overly expensive. Yes, I know that there are the gold-standard discs out there, but I just want discs that'll burn that can be bought in lots of 50 or so for a decent price (I'm just archiving data, not sending movie discs out for mastering :-)

I'm in the UK, so I'm hoping to order from someone local to Europe (too much of a pain getting stuff in from the States, for example).

Can anyone help with suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Chas

yeah, it's the datawrite titanium discs I'm having a problem with.

Every once in a while I've gotten a bad batch (I once got a cakebox of 25 that had dust on the writeable surface of each disc!) but normally I go for hundreds of discs before getting any bad writes.

Now I have two cakeboxes of 50 discs each, and I'm getting tons of coasters :-(

I'll try the site you've recommended though, much appreciated (maybe they'll stand behind their products)

Thanks for taking the time,

Chas

Ah, I see that they have Taiyo Yuden discs available, for a decent price. Think I'll backshelf my Titanium blanks and get me a few of the TY's.

Thanks again for the pointer.
