I decided to try out Jam as a remedy to the problems I'm having with my plextor drive PX W8432T. No difference. Furthermore, the main reason that I got it was because I wanted to use the Peak LE software. First of all, the Peak LE comes with absolutely no documentation whatsoever. But that's not it, when I try to open it, I'm asked for a registration number, and there is no registration number printed anywhere in the Jam manual or box or anything! I've sent a nasty letter to Adaptec about this but they have yet to get back to me. For them to advertise that Peak LE is packaged with Jam, and then not even give you a registered version...that's the raw end of a stick if I've ever seen one. I'm really starting to hate Adaptec.

Before you send them a nasty letter next time, why don't you call their Tech Support? I had the same problem (a batch of the Jam Software Boxes went out without the serial number)...

Adaptec Tech Support immediately knew what the problem was and I got my serial number instantly... Give 'em a call (and hopefully retract your letter)...

P.S. If you bought Jam primarily to use Peak LE, you bought a really expensive version of Peak LE! I've seen it for < $30 before (compared to the $200 that Jam goes for)...
