I'm about to buy it but I want to be sure it's as cool as I think it is. I'll be using it mainly for photo prints and the occasional letter and stuff. I heard it drinks ink like Barney @ Moe's Tavern...*belch!*

I have the epson 740i and have recommended the 777i, one is very happy with it, the other still has not bought one. I am happy with my 740i and beleive that the 777i is suppose to be better. For $99 it's a great deal. I beleive your concern about drinking ink is true, however I get great prints, and again, $99 bucks for a printer is great.

If you're interested in photo prints and want to spend a little more money, the Epson Photo 870 can't be beat. I got about 40 8x10 prints out of it per color cartridge and about 80 8x10's before running out of black ink. The ink is very inexpensive too. Color cartridge is only about $16. The printer is $249 at most catalogs, etc. I think the prints I get from that look better than prints from my 35mm camera. I have a Kodak DC280 that I make my prints from.
