I bought a kensington bluetooth adapter in hopes it would sync with an iogear headset i also bought...no dice.
the adapter doesn't support headsets (why they don't put that on the package i dont know...grrr).

I would like to use the bluetooth headset in conjunction with skype - not sure if this is even possible on a a mac as of yet...but anyway I need an adapter that will find support the headset first of all.
Anybody know of one ? anybody using skype and bluetooth headset on a mac?

I'm on a Powermac running osx 10.4.5

Thanks for any help

I saw a Plantronics set that actually CAME WITH a USB adapter...not too expensive either.

Anyway, the bit with the device working or not with your headset is based on which Bluetooth spec the two things are built to. Look for a USB adapter that supports ALL current specs-I think they're up to 2.0, but I could be a little low on that. I was shopping for a Bluetooth headset today and looked at a couple of Motorolas that said they required a phone with Bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2 compatiblity as a minimum. What does iogear say yours requires?

To get headset support with Mac OS X - use the DLink DBT-120
