I'm thinking of adding another video card to my beige G3 (G3 300, 12 GB HD, 224 MB RAM, Rage Pro A/V card w/DVD) but I don't have an AGP slot, so I'm wondering which PCI card would be best for my machine?

I'm considering the Radeon (when it comes out for PCI) and a Voodoo card (4000 or 5000 - still have a bit more research to do on the cards to find out which one would be best) but I have some concerns and would like to get the feedback of the forum members here:
  • Which card do you think is better?
  • I've heard that due to the bandwidth contsraints of a PCI slot, especially the beige G3, that I may not be able to fully realize the potential of Radeon. Is this true? Will the Voodoo suffer from the same limitation?
  • Any opinions on 3dfx's new business model? Will that affect my ability to get support or get updated drivers? I have heard that 3dfx has hired Duane Johnson to do some driver work for them so it does look like there will be support in the short term.
  • Is there a better card for this machine? I'm not a heavy gamer but I do enjoy the occasional Diablo 2 or Baldur's Gate session. Would another (cheaper) card be more appropriate for this machine? I do very little3D imaging work. I mainly work in 2D and digital video as a hobby.

I've read quite a few reviews on the Radeon and Voodoo 5's but I'd like to hear some real world experiences. TIA!
