I am looking for something to play make my MP3s portable. I know little of Rio and all the other players? I use Soundjam and am very interested in finding some device to play my mp3s. What is out there, how does it work and what do you recommend? I also want to be able to hook it up to the stereo in my car. I heard about Creative Nomad but am looking for something similar but a little cheaper. I want something that can be reprogrammed with new mp3s. Any help wuld be great.

Before we get into any depth here, have you done a search of the forums on this topic? It has been covered a lot.

And no, minidiscs do not store MP3s, they convert them to their native format and require real-time transfers...
