Simple question let's hope I'll have a positive question.(I doubt it though that this kind of cable exists...

I actually searched for this once, and didn't find any. I think virtually all computers that have firewire also have USB, and people who have computers with only USB should just avoid buying a lot of firewire devices! Not to mention firewire PCI/PC cards are very cheap these days, and who knows (well I don't) how compatible the 2 protocols are (probably not very).

Yes I bet the protocols are have pretty much nothing in common.
I have a computer which has firewire.The problem is that I want to be able to connect a firewire device in an other person's machine.So it isn't much my problem
