Anyone getting this to work with OS X 10.1? Image Capture doesn't recognize it on my ibook even though the IMage Capture site says it should do that..

no problem with D30 and Image capture on my G4 PB, but it can't deal with RAW. for more info ( there is problems after you download 300+ files) see www.dpreview.com forum on macsoft and canon slr

Thanx for the reply.

What storage media do you have in it? I think my incompatibility might be due to the fact I have IBM 1 GB MicroDrive in it....

I'm sooooooooooooo jealous of you guys. I've been salivating over the D30 for ages.

In any case My Olympus 3030 and Kodak DC4800 work, but sometimes I have to plug it in twice for OS X to recognize all the pix on it. Also, I found that if I moved the image capture app from its usual location to another folder, it stops working properly.

Wow... 2001, now that is old! You should try eBay or the Marketplace forum.

old or not it is still relevant. maybe some of these people are now looking at getting the 20D and want to unload their D30.

I've got a D30 I picked up years ago and it's still a great workhorse when paired with a good set of lenses (I'm using Canon's 70-200 f4 and 17-40 f4).

Color balance is sometimes a little whacky depending on the lighting, but the only thing really showing its age are the set of batteries I've originally bought with the camera.

Cheers.

Is it possible for any of you to share the software that came with the D30? I got one from a buyer on eBay, but no software was sent. I looked at the Canon site, but all it is is updaters.
