I just purchased an iPod and after deleting the itunes for OSX and OS9 off of it, it shows only 4.65 gigs of free space! Now I am aware that when they claim it has a 5 gigabyte drive that not all 5 gigs are available due to formating, but this is almost 350 megs of dead space!

Is something wrong?

To all ipod owners: What does your free space say when empty?

Thanks!

I think there's a utility floowing around out there that can reclaim some of that space. For example the game of png thats installeed on the ipod can eb removed. Search on versiontracker.com
