This is a call for help going out to all of the Iomega USB external ZipCd owners out there. I just received my ZipCD burner today from microwarehouse.ca, and there was no Mac software in the box. I talked to customer service at Iomega, and they informed me that the only difference between the Mac and the Windows version is the driver software. After I explained that I had the burner but no software, the support guy gave me the number of their Canadian distributor, Adtec. Adtec informed me that the Mac software was back-ordered and that I may have to wait weeks until they can get me a copy. Microwarehouse.ca was no help whatsoever. They simply said that if the software is unavailable, then there was nothing they could do for me.

I already have Toast Deluxe 4.1, so I don’t really need that. All I really need are the Mac drivers for this burner. Can anyone out there get me a copy? I have a cable modem, so if you can post a disk image somewhere, I can download it. Alternatively, you could mail me a copy. I will, of course, reimburse you for any and all expenses incurred. Please, I beg of you, will someone come to my aid? I will be indebted to you if you do so. Thank you in advance.

Perhaps I am naive, but can't you use Adaptec's Toast drivers to mount and use your CD-R?

Cheers!

Perhaps it is I who is naive. I gave it a try, and it seems to burn just fine using Toast. Thanks.
