I sure did, and I still do wish Apple would make this product:

I love mine. When better comes out, I'll consider. Meanwhile, can't let go of my iPod. And I'd trade in many features for Firewire instead of USB. And what can I say about iTunes 2: whoa.
this lounge is a poor substitute to the bbq.

Just got my iPod today and I ditto your remarks to the double t.

But you forgot two more things that set the iPod apart:

Size matters and so do looks.

I'm used to having both , so would I settle for anything less than the iPod?

I personally am not a fan of all these hybrid devices, cell phone MP3 players, digital camera MP3 players, etc. So, the iPod is more than I could have ever wished for. In my past life, college that is, I was a Dj so music huge for me. I pick up 2 or 3 CDs a week. So, I used to lug around all these CDs and a player with me. Now, I have all my new CDs on my computer and thusly and therefor into the iPod. There were times when I wouldn't get around to listening to the new stuff for a while, but with the iPod handy I listen all the time.

My two cents...

thanks for posting that thing.

IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DO NOT WANT.

I wanted a fantastic mp3 player that works flawlessly with itunes..

GOT IT.

I wanted a firewire hard drive that is really tiny.

GOT IT.

Now i have a hard drive with me whenever i have my ipod. Which is pretty much all the time. I have everything. That turd of a device is nasty looking, it does everything....BUT NOT GREAT. Does it do any of those functions really really great? Nope. Plus it's still usb unless you add a firewire port or something? i dunno, who the hell would use that thing for all the functions it listed anyway? My ipod does 2 things: Mp3 player and Hard-drive and it does both those jobs flawlessly.
