My camcorder is not digital, but I would like to connect the camcorder to my iMac SE and use iMovie. I have seen many converters that would connect from the USB port to the camcorder (Belkins USB VideoBus, Aristons iView and Dazzle has one). Are any of these products any good? If not what could I use to connect the camcorder to the iMac and use iMovie.

iMovie only works with digital video. The converters you mentioned will not work with iMovie. The only converter Apple recommends is the Sony DVMC-DA1. The only problem is the the DA-1 was replaced by the DA-2. The DA-2 will convert your video for iMovie but it WILL NOT accept exports from iMovie. Please go to the DV forum and read up on this topic.
