I have an old wacom intuos tablet with the old mac keyboard connector. I'd like to use it on my graphite dual 500 running os x, but wacom doesn't have the drivers to support it on anything other than os 8 & 9, so even if I did rig up an adaptor for the connecter, it still wouldn't work.

has anyone here successfully gotten an older tablet to work with os x? it's an Intuos GD-0608-A, beige tablet.

Nope. I can confirm, unfortunately, that ADB tablets won't work on OS X even with an ADB-USB adapter.

Can you elaborate on not working please?

I've just connected up my 10 yr old A5 tablet via an iMate ADB interface & I'm navigating OS X menus fine.

I'll install a graphics app' later to see if that works ok. I'll probably need Wacom drivers for pressure sensitivity etc.

I just read the Wacom position on it...due to speed of the connection through an adapter, they decided not to support them. End of story, unfortunately. I have a nice 12x12 in my garage I cannot use.

And of course, the USB one I have will not work either due to some kind of OS X software mangulation.

Your best bet will be to look for someone who is interested in buying an ADB tablet.
