I am looking for the top three CDR's that can support having no pauses between tracks. More of a Mix CD type thing. It has to be dependable as well. Firewire would be nice as well.
Thanks all!

For mixing CD's, thats more down to the software you use to mix the tracks rather than the drive itself. You are quite likely to need aditional software on top of the software that comes with the drive.

Most CD burners support on long track. I haven't met one that doesn't.

If you already have the mixed track than you need a burner. Look here: www.clubmac.com www.macmall.com try to stick with firewire burners if possible as they are much faster.

Now my question to everyone is:

What software available for Mac allows you to edit MP3 or AIFF to combine 2 or more tracks?

I have been using Sound Sculptor but it does not support MP3 and a 700 MB AIFF file is way out of my RAM league. suggestions anyone?

I ran into an issue a few years back that the software(Toast) had to put a two second pause between tracks. I have left the audio industry for a while but I am now returning to it. If the rules have changed then what cdrs are at the top right now?

Download n2mp3 from http://www.n2mp3.com
This program may help you change from AIFF to MP3.

Darkstar dude, Toast supports O seconds between tracks but from my experience there is still a small pause between tracks when played on most CD players.

Converting AIFF to MP3 wasn't my problem Darkstar dude, I can do that blindfolded.

What I meant by my question was this:
Is there any software that would actually let you blend several audio tracks (5 min or so each) together to form one huge 74 minute track. That way when you record it on to CD it would only be ONE 74 min track but blended together. Get it?

My problem is when trying to find Mac software that allows you to mix edit and manipulate MP3's. Are there any good ones?

I know of only a couple that let you do it with AIFF but the ones I'm familiar with are either out of date or RAM hogs. I have only have128 MB of RAM on this machine.

The tools that I would use is all pro stuff. Need a audio card and such. I would assume that you would not be looking for Sound Designer, Pro Tools, Digital Performer, etc.
What about Player Pro or Sound Sculpter 2?
I found these programs on the Mac Addict CD #39 November 1999.
I hope this was usefull!
Later.
