recently have been having problems with wireless mice since I purchased the Ministack v2 and boot from the Internal HD. First I purchased a RF Logitech Mouse and plugged the little dongle in the back. I also used an old bluetooth dongle i had lying around so I could use the Apple wireless keyboard.
First, if I printed or synched my iPod the mouse would cut out. I assumed I had too much draw on the USB bus. The solution, get a BT mouse and free up the USB resources!
I just bought the Kensington Pilotmouse Bluetooth Wireless. Paired up fine but something extremely strange is happening, whenever the computer even thinks about doing anything (loading a webpage, application/etc) the mouse completely stops, pauses for about 3-4 seconds, then proceeds to do all the motions I did in that interval. It is EXTREMELY frustrating.
I have installed and uninstalled the Kensington software.
I have installed and uninstalled the USB Overdrive (which shouldn't work for the BT, but what the hey, i am troubleshooting here!)
Is it the mouse?
Is it the driver?
My old Bluetooth dongle from 3-4 years ago? (Hawking)
Is it the fact that I am running the operating system from the Internal drive, which is causing conflicts with the USB hub?
Should I sack up and get bluetooth upgrade at the apple store?
I have had NO problems with the Keyboard whatsoever.
Thank you in advance!
(I have a very 'optical mouse' friendly mouse pad)
