Hi,
can someone suggest a good Firewire Hard Drive (about 30 or 40 GB)?
I will connect it to a 2001 iBook (dual USB) to capture digital video.
Therefore it needs to have two connectors (one to the iBook, one to
the camera, since the iBook has only one) and be fast enough not to
drop any frames.
About dropping frames, I dont know if the issue would be the HD speed
or the iBook. Anyone with experience in this?

Check out LaCie's drives. They use the new Oxford 911 bridge chip so you get sustained 35MB/s and peak up to around 45MB/s, more than fast enough for DV. They have 2 series of drives, the portable, which you don't want. They use 4400rpm laptop drives and are much more expensive. The others use 7200rpm drives and will not have an issue with dropping frames.
