Been looking hard have we? Thought this was well known...

Try pressing the centre button when playing a song, and you can see the time remaining on that particular track.

Now if someone will just hack it to support cyrillic; it's really annoying having to rename redo the tags for all my Russian MP3s...

I like the fact that while you're playing a song, you can browse to another song, highlight it and press play once the current song ends - it will be the next song that the 'pod plays - regardless of what screen you're on.....

That's what I've been doing with mine, especially in the car.

As for scratches "my ipod would be a lot cooler if there weren't so many damned scratches all over it.", I took the back off mine and bead blasted it. No fingerprints and very hard to see scratches now.

Got a Waterford Sooper on the way.

Another cool feature is that if you press and hold the Menu button, the backlight will come on for about 10 seconds or so. Very useful at night. And you don't have to turn the backlight feature on which causes it to illuminate every time a button is pressed or the scrollwheel is turned.
