I have a Fujitsu 640MB Magneto optical drive and in my G4 an Adaptec 2930 SCSI card. Before 10.1 it never showed up in the finder.
Now updated to 10.1 and installed the just released Adaptec drivers when I insert a Disk it shows up, I can read it, BUT
1) can not eject (disk in use it says... even with file sharing, web and FTP access off)
2) With the Finder I can copy to it a simple file but not an application (error -36 == I/O error) Is it because in fact it's a folder? Now see point 3 and 4 =>
3) from the command line I CAN copy an application using the "cp" UNIX command but CAN NOT using "mv" (says chown failed??)
4) I can not reformat with Apple Disk utility (dismount failed)
5) reformatted under OS9 to one "empty" partition, inserted under OSX, it proposed to format, which it did for HFS+, but after the symptomes are again the same

Very frustrating!
