I am looking for a good quality web video camera. We will be streaming to an offsite location via 128k ISDN. The one's that I have tried so far have either poor resolution or bad refresh rate. I need it to transmit at least 10 frame per second.

A couple of years ago, Corel had a video conferencing solutions that could do this with great resolution but it is no longer available.

Any suggestions?

Check out the 3Com HomeConnect camera. I picked one up after many frustrating attempts to get a Zoom WebCam to even register on my computer.

I found a review on cNet and bought one. I had it plugged in and was uploading webcam images in less that half an hour. Very good picture quality. I also use it on CU-See-Me sites with no problems at all.

cNet's review states that it's a PC only camera, but you can download Mac drivers on 3Com's web site.

It's a USB device that sells for $150. The cNet review is at: http://computers.cnet.com/consumerel...1078-7-1461873

MikeD,
I have a USB Kritter and it's pretty good! It gets the advertised 30 fps , and since it's USB, it's hot pluggable etc. Worth the price i'd say, and it comes with a web conferencing software too, haven't tried it yet, but i'msure it's good as well :-)

Pardon my ignorance but do you require a video capture card with the Kritter cam? I want to either stream the video across the internet (currently 128K ISDN soon to be ADSL) or save directly to a remote location. I noticed that there are several video teleconference kits that include video capture cards yet they seem to max out at 10 fps ( which is ok for my needs).
