Hello,

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for USB KVMs? I need at least 4 ports, and need it to work with my PC (running Windows 2000) and my cube.

I know Belkin makes one, as does iogear.

Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated.

Check out BlackBox too... I'm not too sure how the pricing compares to the other manufacturers, but they make quality stuff... I do not have a USB Switch, but the others that I have have been flawless.

I got one from www.DrBott.com a few months ago. The only annoying think is that you can't get into the bios because the USB keyboard doesn't work till Windows is running.

I just bought an Iogear 4 port KVM... recommended by friends as being pretty good, and price is good too... $135, and there's a $30 mail-in rebate...

The Belkin's got a pretty bad wrap from everyone I spoke too... Especially with USB not coming back online issues.

I just wanted to say that I picked up the iogear G-CS104U, and it works great between my Windows 2000 PC & my Cube. Still leaves room for expansion as well.

I also had no problems accesing BIOS setup routine, etc. on the PC.

The delay when switching from machine to machine ranges from 5-10 seconds for the PC, to roughly instantaneous on my Cube.

A great piece of hardware, with 4 nice cable sets included, for roughly a hundred bucks (after rebate at buy.com)
