Does this work, its just that I am going to buy a new monitor pretty soon and i've heard stories that these arent compatible for some strange reason (cant remember why, maybe drivers).

I thought about getting a flattie 17" but they're expensive and I'd lose the speakers i have with my 15"AV from my performa (which im selling along with the 15"AV monitor). So if the 17"CRT Studio display does go, i can get soundsticks or something.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

They certainly do work and work very well may I add. Here is what you may have heard about. It is not that easy to install two of them in a QuickSilver. You will have to have another graphics card plus you may or may not have to have something like a Dr. Botts adaptor. I have a 22 Apple Flat screen and 15 Apple Flat screen. They work just fine together. No drivers needed. Depending upon what you are going to be doing with your computer, it is even possible that the 15 might work for you but, that is only a suggestion on my part. Where are you planning to buy your flat screen from?????? I suggest maybe getting from a store where you can see it first. Why????? Maybe bad pixels maybe not. But, on the other hand if you can see it first that helps a lot. Better than getting it home to find out you have a few bad pixels. Oddly enough I have three iBooks and two flat screen Apple displays. Nairy a bad pixel in the whole bunch. Must be my year for something, huh??????

No, what I'm looking to but is the 17" CRT Studio Display, not the flat panel 17". This is the one that the 17" flat panel replaced not so long ago, it had the ADC connection, silver front, clear back and round clear base. Will this monitor work with a Quicksilver G4?

The ADC 17" CRT will work; we've had them hooked up in the store I work at.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

ejprice,
sorry about that. Yes the flat Apple Studio display will work. My apologies on the other.
