I was loving having my Jabra BT500 synced with my Mac and using it with Skype to make calls, so I decided to set it up with Gizmo as well. Unfortunately, after setting Gizmo to use the BT headset for calls, the headset no longer functioned at all. OS X could no longer stay connected to the headset, and when I tried to configure my input preferences, all I got was the spinning beachball in System Prefs and had to force quit. I couldn't make an out-bound call with Skype either as the call never connected or if it did, the BT connection never initialized.
After a few restarts I reset the Gizmo audio to be line-in only, and OS X started working with BT again. I'm not sure if there is a preference issue between the two apps that causes this BT failure or if its in OS X, and I'm not inclined to test it out further by setting BT for Gizmo and line-in for Skype, but I figured I'd ask anyone here if they've had similar issues or know how to have both Gizmo and Skype configured to use BT at the same time. Do I just have to settle for having only one VoIP app configured to use the BT headset at a time?
