This preview allows PC users to browse the file structure (inc music folder) via explorer. Including playlists, albums etc folders (setup by the media4 software and winblows media8)
Does NOT allow u to load on songs to play. PR-2 will do this, due in ~2 weeks (end of december), via winblows media player 8 (treating it as a portable device)
coolies aye

I can think of a few scenarios where even a Mac user might want to be able to connect it to a Windows machine:
1) To use at work where the IT bozos force everyone to use Windows boxes - adding a few extras tunes for the lunchbreak.
2) To use at a place (work?) where bandwidth is fast for downloading music from Napster/Kazaa/etc then transfer to the iPod.
3) Transferring a few files from a work machine - see (1) - to a home Mac.
There's more I'm sure.

being able to access an ipod from a machine running windows would allow you to go to your friend's house and copy his MP3s... it means access to more music.

The more machines I can use to access the iPod, the better!
