Has anyone else gotten an Optra E312 to work with OS X applications? It prints fine, with Classic, so I know the computer sees the printer fine, but none of the OS X-native applications can print anything. I get undefined Post Script errors or no error message at all before Print Center drops the print job. I downloaded the latest PPD from the Lexmark website - didn't help. I'm running 10.1 on a Powerbook G4/500. The printer is connected directly to one of the USB ports (not through a hub). Anything else I can try to get it working?

I have the E310 which I think is almost the same. I use the E312 PPD that comes with 10.1 and can print fine from X. I am not sure that the PPD is perfect and I think a few things respond differently to Classic but it works.

However, I get an error everytime I print from Classic. The job prints fine but classic reports that it could not communicate with the printer. Most wierd.

This does suggest that the E312 should print fine from X - not sure this helps you though.
