Has any one bought the FW adapter for the USB host powered 250mb iomega zip disc? If so, did you think that it was a great inprovement in terms of speed (read-writing both 100 and 250 discs)? How much faster?

I would welcome any experiences, both negative and postive, from folk who have bought the adaptor.

Cheers,

Hi DNA man. I bought the USB version and used it with my Pismo for about 4 months. I was looking on eBay and found the FireWire adapter for 60 bucks. I've had that for another 4 or so months now and its about twice the speed (they say 2.1 vrs .9 mbps) and its bus powered. Its really worth the extra change. I'm not even sure where the power cord is anymore.

Thanks for the feedback. I will keep an eye on eBay for one now. BTW did you see a noticable difference with reading /writing 100Mb Zips compared with a standard 100Mb Zip drive?
