I have a friend who has a Performa 6400, and his Color StyleWriter 2500 just died. Are there still any new printers on the market that would work with this Performa?

I get this question regularly at work, and the answer is no. Epson made the last printer that had the round 8-pin serial port, the Stylus 740, and that printer has been discontinued for a year. The only other option would entail putting an ethernet card in the PCI slot, if it isn't used, and getting an ethernet compatible laser, but that would cost a small fortune, compared to what the 6400 is worth.
