I just recently bought a new SanDisk Ultra II 1GB SD card to augment the 512MB card I already had (about to take a long trip). The two cards are the same brand and type, just different sizes. However, the new card shows up on my Mac as "read only". When I import the pics into iPhoto, the option for "delete contents" is grayed out. I did not have this problem with the 512MB card.
When I run "Get Info" on both cards, they look identical except for size the the permissions. The format is "MS-DOS (FAT16)", if that matters. I tried reformating the card in my Canon SD400, but that didn't fix it.
And I checked the little card lock slider - it's unlocked and in the same position as the slider on the 512MB card.
Ideas anyone?
