i am having some problems playing video on my new dell 2005fpw. i have it hooked up to my ibook g4 1.2 via a vga cable.
here is the problem... as i try to play video, it will run a huge streak thing across the screen every 10 or 15 seconds or so. it just looks like a break in the video or something. and im sure its not the videos, so i was wondering if anybody out there has had the same problem or knows a solution to this problem.
oh and heres another thing about it. if i make the size of the video player window smaller, the problem goes away, it only seems to have the problem when i try to make the video go full screen or almost full screen....

please help

thanks

Does the iBook split the VRAM between an external monitor and the laptop's screen? If so, that means that only 16MB of VRAM is being used for the monitor. That could be the problem if this is what is happening.

i dont know if my iBook is splitting the VRAM. how do i tell, and if it is splitting the VRAM, (which i'm assuming is some sort of video ram or something), then is there a way to give the external monitor more of this VRAM?
thanks
