Using either of my browsers, Safari or Mozilla, often the browser will jump back to the page I just came from. This happens whether I am using tabs or not. Nothing happens like this in any other programs. Because it happens with both browsers, I think it is something I am doing to the Mighty Mouse. I always keep my hand on it unless I am using the keyboard. I think something is too sensitive and I am pushing it accidentally.

Any sugestions to a new Mac user how to fix this other than keeping my hand off the mouse?

Thanks,
Will

I have the same problem with the mighty mouse. Tobe honest, I don't know how to fix it. When I am using the mighty mouse, I am at school, and their iMacs are locked down, so I am unble to play with the settings. As a result, I don't know how to turn that stupid thing off. I would think that there is a way to turn it off. I would try "Keyboard & Mouse" inside of system preferences.

This should be in the Peripherals forum; it's not specific to any particular Mac...

Just turn off horizontal scrolling in "keyboards and mouse."

What are you mistakenly activating? ...because I think I want to activate it...lol. Is there gestures for Safari or something?
