I am completely unable to burn audio CDs in disc-at-once mode with Toast 4.1 and a QPS Que! USB drive. Every time I try, the program quits, shows a type 2 error, and freezes up my computer. I've tried disabling all the obvious unrelated extensions, but the result is the same.
If I turn off disc-at-once mode, I have no problems burning audio CDs, but I'd like to get disc-at-once working.
Any advice? I'm using an iMac DV with system 9.04.

Wow, no responses at all.
Has anyone been able to burn disc-at-once with Toast 4.1 and a Que! USB drive?

I'm not sure what Disk At Once means, but I have the same setup (using Toast 4.02), and I write CD's with no problem.

I too, have no idea what disc-at-once is. When I want to copy a cd, I just use the disc-copy setting; when I want to copy audio files, I just use the audio setting. I couldn't even find the "disc-at-once" option in any of the pull-down menus. What exactly is it, at how does one select it as a copy option?

You select disc-at-once through the preferences menu, where there is a "prefer disc-at-once" option.
The Toast manual describes it as "a method of recording CDs whereby the entire CD is recorded in one pass without turning off the laser."
A major advantage of disc-at-once is it allows you to have tracks blend together seamlessly, which is important for live CDs. Otherwise, you'll end up with short gaps between songs, even if you set the between-song pause to zero seconds.

I'm sure I read somewhere that only Toast "Delux" was capable of Disk At Once recording. So this might perhaps be your problem?

Hmm Ok then... Well another possibility is making sure that your drive is DAO compatible, as not all of them are. Although i'd have thought that the QPS Que should be OK. Other than that i'm not sure what I could suggest.. have you tried more obvious stuff like deleting Toast prefs? Re-installed the software etc? Might be worth a try.
