We have about 100 iMacs here (Latest edition/non DV) of wich 10% is having serious usb problems. Every few minutes/seconds the mouse freezes (loses connectivity) after wich you have to replug it to make it work again.
Now that temperatures are rising the problem even gets worse and is affecting more and more iMacs (and some G4's as well).
Anyone working with a computer can imagine how frustrating it is working with a mouse that freezes up to every few seconds.
I've been looking everywhere but I don't even find the slightest hint of this fenomena. How is this possible? But more important, does anybody know about this and about a fix?

Using the stock keyboard or the MacAlly?

the MacAlly keyboard has a known flaw that MacAlly is supposed to be fixing later this month.

no, we're using nothing but the stock mouse, right out of the box.
