I'm looking buy a decent but not-too-expensive USB mouse and/or joystick for my Rev. B iMac with OS 9. I'd like to get both, but it depends mostly on price. Can anyone suggest good, cost-effective solutions?

I recommend the Kensington Mouse-in-a-Box Scroll. It has a nice shape and the scroll works very well.
If your local shop carries the PC and the Mac version, but the Mac version is priced higher - buy the PC one and download the latest drivers from www.kensington.com
It costs about $25. Get a basic USB gamepad for about $25 as well and your done!

I am using Logitech's Mouse Man Wheel which has three buttons plus the scroll wheel which you can also use as a button. This makes it four buttons and I found it very useful to add the ctrl-click and cut and paste commands (cmd-c and cmd-v). Everything works fine and I really like the (right-hand) ergonomics of the mouse - even if it took a little time to get used to it. The scrolling wheel could be feeling a little bit smoother, but as long as it works...
Its about $35 and up (I would recommend using a pricesearching engine such as the one on www.cnet.com)
