I have a laserwriter IIg that I want to hook into my G4/400. Bought a USB to serial adapter, then found out they don't support laser printers yet! Of course, the company failed to tell me that. Anyway, I understand there is a card you can buy that will allow you to use older serial laser printers on G4's. But, I've also heard that they need to use the internal modem slot of the G4, which is currently occupied in my machine. Anyone know anything about this? Any suggestions? Thx in advance...

there is a product callad an ethernet to localtalk bridge connector, it connects the older localtalk devices to the ethernet port of the computer, if your port is being used than you will also need an ethernet hub.

I'm running a LWS 360 from my iMac and a Performa 6360 running from the thernet port on the iMac thru an Asanté Friendly Bridge - comes complete with cables and beautiful setup illustrations - you still have to buy the local talk connectors.

Tip - the FastNet brand of local talk connectors has termination on/off switches.

Worked perfectly as soon as connected.

Anyone know where to get a ethernet to localtalk bridge connector? What are the best brands? Any known problems with them?
Thanks.
