Is there any possibility of being able to have a Motophoto or some other photo store to devlop photos taken by a digital camera using a Compact Flash card as "film" like you would with a plain camera?

Should be fairly easy to find, although don't expect to find them down on the corner. I know that Sony and Kodak have services like this overseas. I don't know about availability in the US but be prepared to pay through the nose for the service. You might be better off putting the images onto CDR then asking for a print service.

Yes. No problem. Do a search online.

Most will accept photo uploads. So if you have broadband you're set.

Why not just print them yourself ? Save your money and buy a good 6 color printer and some glossy photo paper and a flash card reader ?????

Because most of the time self-printed photos fade a lot faster. And it only costs US$0.33 per 4x6 print up here in Canada. Ink and photo paper is quite expensive if you do it yourself.

Do you have a ritz camera by you? I think I remember seeing our local Ritz camera having this service. They do a lot of digital work. You can bring in your digitized photos (in any format ie CdR, floppy etc), and they can print it up. but I think it was expensive. They also made Picture CD's too.

Hope this helps.

2 things:

1) It is very expensive, far more than 33 cents per photo when you are printing from CompactFlash.

2) Quality isn't that great either, you could prob do better at home (if you make sure air can't get to the prints they won't fade quickly).

htt://www.ofoto.com makes fantastic prints. I've been very happy with their service--$.50 I think for 4 x 6 prints.
