I'd like to get a second IDE drive for my beige G3 desktop (they are getting so cheap), but I don't know if I can find a cable to connect from the primary drive to the upper bay. I've got a CD and Zip on the second IDE channel. Anyone have any luck with this kind of setup?

If the cable to the primary drive only has 1 connector on it, you'll have to replace it with an normal IDE cable with 2 connectors. Just about any PC spares/supplies place (i.e Radio Shack/Tandys/Maplins) should be able to sell you one. Make sure it's long enough though, and be careful not to block the ventilation path with the cable.
