Does anyone know if the free repair program for the Multiple Scan 15 is still around? Mine just started doing the color switch thing. I got one repaired for this problem last fall. Is the program still around or do I have to pay to have it fixed?

Thanks,
Dan

When the repair program was announced, the warranty was extended to 7 years. If this is the case then you still should be able to fix one free of charge. I would ask at your local Apple Service center.

I have a 15av monitor that has a green tint and I was just about to toss it since buying a replacement.

Anyone know about this extended warranty?

The guy that has the local Apple service told me he could get it exchanged for $189, but I don't trust him.

At least when I got the previous one I own repaired, the Apple Service guy told me that Apple had this free program to repair the MS 15 for just such a tint problem, because it was a known problem. He said Apple was aware that some of the parts used in the monitor were not of the best quality or something like that. Anyway, I just gave it to the service guy and got it back 2 weeks later fixed for free.

Apple has ended the extended warranty for 15" monitors several months ago. Too bad, since my monitor started flaking out for a second time (after already being repaired by Apple) just recently.
