The power button on the front of my cinema display does nothing. I understood that it was saposed to put the computer to sleep or to turn it off. Do I need software? What is the problem? I have a 733 G4.
Thanks,
Peter Preuss

Not sure about the Cinema Display, but the power button on my new 15" Flat Panel LCD does the following:

1. Turn on 733 and LCD if both are off.
2. Pressing it when system is on puts both to sleep.
3. Pressing it when in sleep wakes up both.

If your G4 is OFF and you touch the power button on the display and the computer does not turn on, then it is busted. Call Apple.
