I have a Cable that has a headphone style jack on onw and and RCA connectos on teh other end. If I plugged the head phone jack into my computer and the RCA's into my stereo, Would I get teh same high quality Audio I get when I connect my 7500's RCA-Out to my Stereo's RCA in?
If your computer's headphone output is unamplified (which most likely it isn't) it will sound pretty much like your 7600's (unamplified) RCA outputs... It all depends on the sound card and its (crappy) amplifiers, really...
because i don't have a cord that is long enough, and i really can't move my computer right now, i am jsut planning ahead for a project of mine. If it does sound crappy, does anyone even make PCI soundcards for mac?
You could get a soundblaster...
Or you could get an Audiophile 2496 for superior quality, RCA line outs... though you will be feature limited with this route (OS X support is confirmed for this card though unlike the soundblaster).
