Can you explain this a bit better? How do you scroll w/ the center button? Hold it in? push it up or down?

The short answer is no, but I'm curious what is going on w/ yours. I would get that baby fixed/replaced before your 90 days are up.

You may be w/o it for a while, but better than a lifetime of annoying defect.

By turning the center wheel, kinda like with the jog wheel, it scrolls.

Yes, the centre button can turn, and I can see how that would be annoying. Like when you are hovering on one option (perhaps waiting for a song to finish) and you try to select it a second later, only to find that your thumb has inadvertently selected the next option up/down.

There are these little notches on the bottom of the scroll wheel and center button where they connect to each other and the body of the iPod. This basically makes them turn together. Therefore, when you turn the wheel, the button turns with it. Also, when you twist the button around, it turns the wheel.

It would have been much better if they were kept independent of each other. I'm always selecting the wrong songs/options because my thumb sometimes turns the button a bit as I go to press it, causing the iPod to scroll up or down a line.
