I'd like to know where I can find instruction on how to install a new 20g TravelStar into my Pismo to replace the stock 10g it came with.

Additionally, how can I transfer all the data on the drive I have now to the new drive? is it possible to plug both the HDs into my B&W G3 tower and transfer from there?

I don't have access to a CD burner or any type of removeable media (not NEARLY enough), so any help would be nice.

Hi Blue Bomber,
You should be able to plug your Pismo into your B&W and use firewire target disk mode to transfer data (your Pismo would show up as a hard drive). Here is how you would do it... Target Disk Mode.
Here is a link to an article on how to upgrade the hard drive in a Wallstreet. Which should be very similar to the pismo.
good luck and let us know how it goes...

The easiest way, is Firewire Target Disk Mode.

It depends on the length. I bought a 3 foot FW cable, and I think it was around $12-$15

Bluebomber, let us know how it goes. We just put one into my wife's Pismo yesterday and it was a piece of cake. The new drive doesn't have the whine the old one did, but the heads clicking is noticeably louder. I'm curious as to whether this is normal.

I had the same problem with the IBM clicking. Mine was to the point of freezing for several seconds. I went with a Toshiba and I've had no problems since.
