Has any body had a problem with ink getting on the little rollers? This seems to happen far to often, with the result that a nice black line appears on the printed page. To say it is irritating is an understatement. I am getting through so much paper.

Is there a good way of cleaning the rollers, apart from with with tissue? A special cleaning paper that you put through the printer perhaps?

This has never happened on my ancient HP DeskWriter C.

thanks in advance

Did you get a sample pack of papers with your Epson? The one I got with my 670 included a few cleaning sheets, I think with the heavyweight matte paper?

I don't have this problem with my 740, which is a similar design, with the rollers and whatnot... the rollers really shouldn't get any ink on them.

Are you using high quality Epson ink? Don't use third party ink, its often very bad.

Use Epson ink which is designed to dry very fast. It seems your problem is the ink isn't drying fast enough and is getting on the rollers.

Are you using third party ink?
