Hello,

I just got a Macally HUBREAD, a card reader and 3-port hub in one. When I connect either my wacom tablet, or my mouse to the hub, they aren't working. I've restarted a couple times, still the same boat. Both devices work fine when connected to the apple keyboard or directly. When I connect a usb drive to the hub, it works (the volume mounts). It's just the pointing devices which aren't.

On 10.4.6, Intel 20".

Any help is appreciated...not sure if I should return this.

Thanks

Is this your Hubreader?

Have you got the hubreader plugged into A/C?

Yes and Yes...still having the same problem, no pointing devices work through it, though I can read media and use non-pointing usb devices (printer, etc).

What are the power specs for your pointing devices? Since this hub is "unpowered" (passing power from the computer) there's a chance that it reports only a small current requirement and the USB controller just won't turn on anything that wants to pull more than the hub says IT needs.
