G'day! My iPod isn't quite working properly, and is only copying about 10% of news songs in my playlist to the iPod

Is there a way to completely reset the iPod that might fix this?

by the way does anyone think it'd be great if the iPod had cross-fading?

reset by holding down the play and menu buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, preferably while connected to your computer or power adapter.
if that doesnt help, try restoring the software.
