Now that I have a G4 cube and the price of Apple LCD monitors is getting reasonable, I would buy one in a minute except that the small size of the text hurts my eyes. I use mostly word processing, and I would like to be able to magnify text when that's what I'm working with. I know that dropping the resolution on an LCD produces horrible-looking text, and when I try magnification within a word processing program (Word or AppleWorks), the spacing between words gets distorted (at least with the Times 12 I routinely use). I thought ATM was designed to solve this problem, but it seems to have no effect on the appearance of spaces on the screen. Is there a solution to this problem, or am I destined to remain with CRT's forever?
